FAQ’s and Tips for Brides Attending Our Show

SONY DSCWe want to make our show a great experience for all brides-to-be, and have developed this list of tips and FAQ’s to help make this a productive and fun day for you. Of course, one of the BEST things about attending the show is that you will have the chance to meet face-to-face with a variety of fine professionals – all under one roof — saving you the time of scheduling and driving to visit them all privately. And secondly, all of our exhibitors are required to have show specials! You will save money!

 

Bridal Show Tips:

  1. Bring a list of your main priorities and visit with those professionals first. You’ll have plenty of time to then visit the other booths and check out the other fine exhibitors who will have those special extras to make your wedding day a cut above.

  2. Wear comfortable shoes, take your time, relax, and have fun.

  3. Look at different ideas and colors and samples. Ask questions and gather as much information as you can.

  4. Bring some pre-printed labels with you that include your name, mailing address, phone number, email address and wedding date. This will save you so much time, and make it so much easier to leave your information with vendors who you’d like to have follow-up with you after the show.

  5. Have a calendar with you for setting up appointments.

  6. Be sure to ask for show specials and what exhibitors are willing to do if you book today. Be prepared to place deposits with those businesses and wedding professionals that you feel good about immediately. This will lock in your date, and you’ll be able to take advantage of the special pricing that they’re offering at the show. Many exhibitors will offer special savings that are available that day . . . and that day only.

  7. Walk the show floor more than once. If an exhibitor is occupied with other attendees keep moving and be sure to revisit the exhibitors with which you would like to spend time.

How do I know I’m attending a reputable bridal show?

The Bridal Experience is one of the most-established shows in the Pittsburgh Area. This year will be our fourteenth show, and each year we’ve continued to bring you only the best wedding professionals in the area. We don’t overwhelm you with gimmicks or paid “celebrities” (who you never really have a chance to meet anyway.) We simply offer you a valuable day with great information, and first-class professionals offering you great prices.

What are the show hours, and what time should I arrive?

Both The Bridal Experience, and The Brides Against Breast Cancer Gown Sale, will open to the public at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016. However, The Fez Terrace Room will be open for lunch beginning at 10:00 a.m.

What is the ticket price?

Tickets are $5.00 if purchased in advance and $10.00 at the door on the day of the show. Advanced tickets can be purchased via The BridalEXP website, in person at The Fez from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday, or by mailing a check to: Bridal EXP, 2312 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001. Will my ticket also gain me entrance to the Brides Against Breast Cancer Wedding Gown Sale?

Absolutely! BABC will be on hand with their “Nationwide Tour of Gowns,” bringing you beautiful new and gently used bridal fashions. Not only will you be able to try and buy right on site that day, but you’ll have access to many brand name and top designer wedding gowns – including some one-of-a-kind couture gowns – from some of the biggest names in the industry, at tremendous savings over retail. BABC also has lay-away available. So don’t miss stopping by the sale. The Bridal Experience is the ONLY show in Pittsburgh who offers access to these gowns. Is there a way I can get early access to the bridal gown sale?

YES. BABC will offer a special VIP pre-sale on Saturday, January 9th from 1:00 – 5:00. Ticket Price is $35.00 ($20.00 for anyone coming along with you) and includes Lite Bites, Signature Cocktails, and special give-aways. If you want to attend this VIP Event, tickets can be purchased

Is it better to come early when the show opens?

That depends. We plan our show so that it’s convenient for YOU. If you’re an early bird, or you have afternoon plans, coming early will make it easy for you. But, we’re also here and in full force until 3:00 p.m., so no need to rush. And in fact, sometimes if you wait until the early initial crowd has subsided, you’ll have easier access to personally speak to the exhibitors you want to see.

How much time should I spend at the show?

You will want to allocate 2 – 4 hours of your time so that you can visit as many wedding exhibitors as possible. Remember, it could take two months to see the same number of vendors if you drove to each of their locations.

Who should I bring with me to the show?

Bring your mom, your bridesmaids, and of course, the groom. We’ll have a special groom’s lounge available if he wants a break. It’s often good to have input from the groom, and family, when making decisions about securing your wedding day professionals. And it’s a fun day for everyone!!!

What is the dress code?

We’re casual. So be comfortable.

Do prize winners have to be present to win?

Yes. To claim a prize you will have to present. Door prizes will be drawn every 15 minutes throughout the day. Grand Prize drawing will take place in the Ballroom at 2:45 p.m.
